We are a family of gem cutters, gemologists, rock hounds, and mineral collectors. Our father, John Mason started the business as Tru Gems in 1982, making and selling rings, necklaces, and the like at shows and festivals around the country. Along the way he became a goldsmith, and his sons became gemologists and lapidaries. With his passing, the tradition of enjoying the minerals of this earth continues. One son works full time as a jewelry buyer and gemologist. The other now runs this website.

Mason's Minerals is the new generation on the web building from John Mason's extensive collecting and manufacturing experience at Tru Gem. We pride ourselves on customer support. We don't just sell gems and minerals, we serve customers that are seeking the rare, unusual, and the beautiful. Masons' Minerals has two on site GIA Graduate Gemologists, with over 20 years of experience.

Our focus with Mason's Minerals is to bring world wide collectors the finest thumbnail and miniature minerals specimens and to do so in a friendly, cooperative manner.
