MINERAL: Spessartine Thumbnail

LOCATION: Yunxiao Mine, Fujian, China

Attractive Spessartine Garnets on Matrix. Spessartine Garnets are an unusual orange color that is most appealing. The overall specimen is 35 mm x 22 mm x 8 mm mounted on a Plexiglas plate. The garnets themselves are 2-3mm in size. All the garnets are well formed and free of damage. Very inexpensive specimen of these relatively rare garnets on matrix.

MINERAL: Schorl Tourmaline

LOCATION: Erongo, Namibia

Schorl is the most common form of tourmaline. it is black. This small miniature is a good sample of this mineral. It shows the individual tourmaline crystals radiating in a parallel fashion. The specimen is 33 x 23 x 30 cm in size. Good price for a nice specimen of this attractive (OK some people like black) mineral.

MINERAL: Inesite

LOCATION: Wessels Mine, Kurruman, South Africa

Inesite is not a common mineral, but here is a good chance to get a nice one at a very low price. The specimen is a bright rose pink with dark red ends to the crystals. It is 25 x 22 x 10 mm in size. The intersection crystals make a bright interesting display piece. Inesite is a Hydros Calcium Mangenese Silicate. It grows in hydrothermal metamorphic rock fissures. It is prismatic, fibrous, and as in this specimen it is spherulitic with radiating crystals. Very Attractive

This is a very typical short prismatic crystal of this rare Beryllium silicate. This transparent single terminated crystal measures 6 x 3 mm (be aware that is only about a quarter of an inch in length) Excellent example, and very reasonable price for this attractive mineral.

MINERAL: Wulfenite

LOCATION: Red Cloud Mine, Arizona

Fine thin tabular crystal of Wulfenite on matrix. Crystal is 9 x 12 mm and 2.8 mm in depth. Good orange red color. This is a decent size, singular tabular crystal of Wulfenite from the Red Cloud Mine near Yuma Arizona. The crystal has good translucency. It is well presented perched on the ridge of matrix.

MINERAL:Vanadanite Thumbnail

LOCATION: Mibladan, Morocco

Vanadinite is a lead mineral colored by vanadium and thus typically red to brown in color. The mineral has a resinous luster you can see in the photo. this is a relatively rare mineral usually found in the oxidation zone of ore deposits of galena and other lead minerals. This thumbnail is 30 mm x20 mm x 10 mm of Vanadinite crystals on matrix. No damage

LOCATION: Alchuri, Shigar Skardu district, Pakistan

Single terminated. green/brown prismatic crystal of Clinozoisite from Pakistan. This crystal is undamaged and measures 15 x 6x 3 cm It is mounted on a plexiglass plate but easily removed. This crystal shows the minerals typical elongate shape with striations parallel to long axis on the faces.

Well formed crystals of Gypsum with sand inclusions - sometimes called Desert Rose. This very attractive specimen is 2 x 2 x 2 cm and mounted in a Perky box. It has no damage. Good example of this formation of Gypsum.

MINERAL: Fluorite

LOCATION: Yaogangxian Mine, Hunan Prov, China

This specimen is a cluster of intergrown natural fluorite crystals showing cubic form. The crystals are dark purple, mostly transparent, and have a vitreous luster. The overall specimen is 32 x 30 x 22 mm (about 1.25 inches in length and width) The fluorite crystals measure about 12 mm on a side. Very showy piece with no damage. Displays well.e.

This specimen of Copper Iron Sulfide measures 5 x 2 x 2 cm in size (just under 2 inches in length) Bornite is a secondary copper mineral that tarnishes to the blue iridescent colors seen here. Very inexpensive example.
