MINERAL: Stibnite
LOCATION: Khaidarkan Osh Oblast Kyrgyzstan
Bright crystal of silver Stibnite measures 6 cm in length. Double terminated translucent quartz crystal is 13 mm x 8 mm in diameter. It appears to have a small coating of lepidolite near the base. Stibnite is the primary ore of antimony and therefore is sometimes called antimonite. It is used in batteries and in fireworks. This specimen is in excellent condition. Very attractive and very affordable small cabinet of this somewhat rare, but popular mineral. No damage.

Fine gem quality golden, transparent Barite crystals on a small bit of matrix. It measures 44x 28 x 14 mm high. Perfect condition, terminations are free of abrasions. Barite forms in many habits, but none more attractive than this crystalline form. Barite is an important commercial mineral used in paint, but we are fortunate that crystals such as these escape their normal fate. Wonderful crystals.

Bright radiating crystals of bright silver Stibnite measures 6 cm by 5 cm x 2 cm . Stibnite is the primary ore of antimony and therefore is sometimes called antimonite. It is used in batteries and in fireworks. This specimen is in excellent condition. Very attractive and very affordable small cabinet of this somewhat rare, but popular mineral. The stibnite is coated with translucent opaque druzy quartz crystals making for an attractive display from this location.

From the Martin Zinn collection and complete with his label, this magnetite on matrix from Cerro Huaniquino is 65 x 40 x 25 mm (about 2.5 inches long) The metallic sheen of the octahedral crystals makes this a very showy example of this popular iron oxide mineral. The largest crystal measures 7 mm in diameter.

MINERAL: Amethyst
LOCATION: Las Vigas Region, Veracruz ,Mexico
Miniature of bright purple amethyst twin crystals in matrix. The quartz is all water clear, and shows no damage under 10 x magnification. The two amethyst crystals are virtually a matched pair radiating from a common base. The color is dark purple. They each measure 16 x 4 x 4 mm. Overall the cluster measures 40 x 32 x 20 mm.

MINERAL:Dioptase
LOCATION: Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Namibia
This bright, vibrant, dark green Dioptase miniature is from the Ulrich Bahmann collection of rare Tsumeb material. It is 26 x 22 x 15 mm with crystals to 15 x 6 x 7 mm. Perfect with no damage. Note the photo highlights some fine natural grit that still adhers to the crystals. It reflects in the light of photo booth but is the same color as the crystals when viewed normally.
