Poldervaartite is a type-locality mineral from the Kalahari manganese mines. It was first found and reported in 1993, which makes it a relatively new mineral in the mineral world. It is a rich deep rose color which is quite attractive. The specimen is from #2 mine. It measurs 45 x 55 x25 mm.
