Description
Pyromorphite is a secondary mineral found in the oxidized zones of lead ore deposits. It forms in the hexagonal crystal structure. This specimen’s contains twelve clear hexagonal crystals ranging from 2 mm to 3 mm in diameter. The specimen is 20x15x13 mm overall. The color is orange-tan. Clear and bright, no damage. There is a great story of the discovery of the Bunker Hill Mine, in which a judge once ruled it was found by a jackass. A bit of history here and a good story with this specimen
