This a blue-green botryoidal masses of Smithsonite on base rock matrix typical of the spectacular color of this zinc oxide mineral from the famous Kelly Mine. The specimen is 27 mmx 15 mm x 15 mm. The Kelly Mine is a world famous source of Smithsonite. Of course it was originally a viable source of zinc, but we enjoy this ore as much as the value of the zinc it contains. Great color and form, with no damage here.
